News Project Manager

About the role:

As Project Manager, you will have responsibility for delivering large strategic, software development projects within the LSEG News segment. The role will get along with all levels of the organization to help define, scope, and manage the health of projects. There may be opportunities to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments and may include the role of a Scrum Master.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead one or more projects that relate to critical business goals for the global business partners
  • Develop and track detailed project plans for waterfall teams; Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters for agile teams
  • Manage resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans
  • Monitor and resolve issues across multiple Refinitiv and client work streams involved in the project
  • Proactively identify and provide mitigation plans for any potential risks to the project’s overall success
  • Develop a professional rapport with the internal and client project teams and maintain an excellent level of client satisfaction
  • Report status of the project using various MS office tools to present the appropriate level of detail based on the target audience
  • May act as main point of contact with the client regarding results, change requests, and sign-off on status and requirements
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, including professional organizations

Required Skills & Vital Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management/Planning experience
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle(s) with either Agile or Waterfall methodologies
  • Must have excellent analytical problem solving skills
  • Great teammate with an ambitious, collaborative spirit
  • Above average organization, interpersonal, & communication skills
  • Experience building successful client relationships or internal team relationships
  • Awareness of IT infrastructure and architecture patterns and concepts
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, networking and cybersecurity concepts
  • Awareness of low-latency computing requirements
  • Ability to identify, assess and explain technical risks
