AWE is currently recruiting for an Inventory Specialist to provide Inventory Assurance and Control support to all Tech Centres.

Location – Basingstoke/Reading

Package – Up to £38,000

The successful candidate will:

  • Maintain a matrix of Inventory Custodians across the business ensuring 100% coverage of all CWC inventories across Technology Centres
  • Monitor and ensure 100% compliance of Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) critical weapon training escalating any non-compliance through Line Managers and Tech Centre Heads
  • Support the Senior Inventory Specialist with improvement activities in the control and management of GFE controllable assets
  • Senior User for recognised corporate / MOD systems for the tracking of incoming / outgoing GFE whether part of the programme or transfer of custody under PAWE / PALD loans
  • Support internal and external audit activities across all AWE Sites ensuring that appropriate access to physical stores and data is supplied.
  • Support the management of all GFE in accordance with MOD standards as described within DEFSTAN 05/99 that forms part of the AWE/MOD contract
  • Support the team of Inventory Specialists during times of absence
